PowerBox Returning batteries

Return of rechargeable batteries or rechargeable devices

In general, all lithium-ion batteries, including lithium-ion rechargeable batteries, are categorised by law as dangerous goods (hazardous goods). Any transport of dangerous goods, which therefore includes all rechargeable batteries, is subject to the special regulations of dangerous goods legislation. These regulations stipulate special requirements for packaging, labelling and transport. This also applies if you wish to return lithium-ion batteries to us, for example if you, as a consumer, wish to exercise your statutory right of cancellation or send batteries to us for repair. As the regulations for hazardous goods are very complex and we would like to make things easier for you, please read the following instructions for returning rechargeable batteries and devices with rechargeable batteries carefully and follow them.

Supplementary note:
We would like to point out that you must observe the applicable transport regulations for dangerous goods when returning goods. Please also observe the information in the respective instructions for use that were included with the delivery (all instructions for use can also be found online) and safety data sheets for the rechargeable batteries and devices with rechargeable batteries.

ATTENTION: Please do not send any defective or damaged batteries to us!
Defective or damaged batteries must not be returned due to the increased risk of explosion!

Not sure if your battery is damaged? Here is a checklist for you:

✔ Damaged or significantly deformed housing
✔ Tarnishing on metal parts of the battery
✔ Melting points on the plastic housing
✔ Heating of the battery when switched off
✔ Leakage of the battery

If the battery is defective or damaged, please remove the battery from the device and return the device to us without the battery. If it is not possible to remove the battery from the device (built-in battery), please contact us.

Damaged or defective batteries may no longer be used. Please observe the instructions for use and safety information for PowerBox rechargeable batteries and products with integrated rechargeable batteries. Please read this information carefully.

Damaged or defective rechargeable batteries must be disposed of via the local hazardous waste collection centres. In the event of disposal, we reserve the right to request proof of disposal. Therefore, please ensure that you receive appropriate proof from the hazardous goods collection centre.
